Vincent Pescatore Hospital Gains Yag Laser
Visualiza’s Vincent Pescatore Hospital located in Guatemala City, has a new Yag laser. The device clears “frosting” from the back of an intraocular lens.
This condition can develop over time in some patients following cataract surgery. Getting rid of this frosting effect reduces glare and improves vision again. This leads to better long term outcomes for Visualiza’s patients.
Yag laser treatment is painless. It requires 1 or 2 days for full recovery. Patients can return to normal activities within 24 hours.
