Vision for the Poor founded Visualiza Social Service Enterprise as an independent, Guatemalan eye care provider headquartered in Guatemala City in 1997. In 2008, Vision for the Poor dedicated itself to serving as Visualiza’s US-based fundraising arm. Over the last 25 years, Visualiza grew to include 2 Eye Hospitals and 4 supporting Vision Centers.

Now, Vision for the Poor and Seva Foundation (a major Visualiza financial and technical supporter since 2006), act as US-based co-fundraising partners to expand Visualiza’s Eye Care Network across all of Guatemala by 2032.
